Vintage Paper Bags
A set of three paper bags from the 1960s-1970s: Good News, a toy and stationary shop in Carmarthen, Eastwells, a greengrocer in Barkingside, and Moffat Maid. The bags are quite worn, but have been kept flat and pressed for a while.
There is a shop keeper's old sums on the back of the Moffat Maid bag, 15 x 12 1/2, back when we did things in half pences!
The only name I am familar with is Moffat Maid, which was a purveyor of the finest fizzy drinks known to humanity. No, I lie, that was Carters pop factory. But I have dim memories of these cans of pop on summer holidays in Norfolk and Wales.
The bags will be packaged carefully in a card envelope so they don't get bent in transit.
