It's a good question and I try not to think about it too hard because it gived me the horrors. However, it turns out that with one study Ikea shelving system and a lot of plastic tubs, you can do anything! Because I need access to the maps every day, so I can't pack them away in boxes. They need to be stored in the form of a library.
This is also a mini tour around my workshop. It's a spare bedroom. It's THE spare bedroom, so we have actually had to sleep in it on occasion. Yes, you can just about fit a blow up mattress in here, but just be careful not to jab yourself with a craft knife as you stumble to the loo in the dark or let a massive atlas crush you while you sleep.
The shelving! I do have more shelving but that's for smaller atlases.
Some works-in-progress here, where I am figuring out if I can make my groovy onion ornaments in larger sizes, and just what thickness of card will it take for them to keep their shape?
My dad's old schooldesk that is now a place where I cut and hole punch paper. Useful! Inside the desk is where I hide all the offcuts that I've yet to think of something to do with.
Some tools, and a pile of books to be cut up (sorry to the books)
The Owl Contains the Bone Folders.
Having a home studio is an exercise is stuffing a huge amount into a small space - any crafter will tell you this, and mostly I keep on top of it as you can see from these luxurious examples of organisation. But there is a pile in one corner that I've kept to myself - a growing pile of Louise Projects that are on my to-do list, and have been on my to do list for a long time. The real horror!
