A salvaged hard back cover of Shakespeare's plays rewritten for children, with the leaves previously removed, ideal for bookbinding, notebook or journal creation or other craft project. It's red with a large romantic watercolour illustration on the front that is reminiscent of Pre-Raphelite art.
The title is The Children's Shakespeare and the book was published circa1912.
The cover is board and paper with a full colour painting of a a romantic couple under a tree, who I am assuming are Romeo and Juliet. The colours are a little faded, with the title of the book in embossed gold text. The internal covers are papered in a sweet line drawing.
The spine is intact. If you look inside the cover, it is in decent condition, and the cover shows a little wear - but generally in really nice condition too! There is one page intact, of a scene from The Tempest
This is ideal for journal making or bookbinding projects.
The cover dimensions are: spine: 3cm, height: 25cm, full width when laid flat: 41cm. Each board is around 20cm wide.
